           UN BUDGET CUT BY 5 PERCENT FOR 2012-13

The united Nations has taken a five percent cut in its budgets for 2012-13 at USD 5.15 billion. It is the second time in 50 years that the world body's budgets has declined over the previous year. The budgets was approved by the 193 members UN General Assembly on December 29,2011.

WORLD TALLEST BRIDGE INAUGURATED IN MEXICO

Mexican President Felipe Calderon inaugurated the world's tallest bridge on January 6,2012. The 403m tall Baluarte bridge span a deep ravine in the sierra madre occidental mountains in north Mexico.

HONG KONG IS NO.1 ON 2012 INDEX OF ECNOMIC FREEDOM

Hong Kong has retained its the position as the world's freest economy, according to the 2012 index of economic Freedom.
